Module 7 Assignment: Create an Online Rubric for Scoring a Tech-based Project
Genius Hour
I really enjoyed this assignment. I found it to be practical and fun to do. It also allowed me to go back and review the assignment and update it. I used many of the sources that we were given in class to enhance this project.
After reviewing it I saw that I needed to update it to include a more technology based results from the students. When I first started the assignment 3 years ago I did not have a written rubric for the students to reference. This gave me an opportunity to create one for my project next year. I especially liked the online version of the rubric that I can attach to the project.
I look forward to assigning this next year. I think my students will get a lot out of this project and now they will get even more with the new rubric.
A very cool assignment that showed me how dynamic an infographic can be. I can see how I can make an infographic in the future for some of my grammar points and cultural info. This assignment also taught me a lot on which video assessment tool was right for me.
I found that wevideo can create some great videos with more editing features than Flipgrid. Flipgrid is an user friendly video system that makes it very easy for my students to record and share videos. I prefer wevideo but I am fortunate to have our district pay for the subscription. The subscription is very expensive for the casual user.
I plan on using canvas also as my go to infographic creator. It made it really easy to design the infographic and share with others. I wish I had more options but that would require a subscription. If I use it more often, I may consider paying for the subscription in the future.
Although all the assignments assigned I thought were fun and engaging, these are the ones that I liked working on the most.
