Artifacts that impacted me the most (Foundations of Education Technology)

Discussions with peers: blogs, twitter, collaboration What I found really useful during this class was the collaboration I had with my peers. The discussions throughout this course enlightened me on many things. I learned what programs or apps worked in the classroom and which ones did not. The different applications we used to discuss were also very helpful. I learned how to use blogs and twitter to discuss and it will help me incorporate it into my classroom.  I found that twitter provides a trove of ideas and great resources to collaborate with people around the world. I follow many teachers around the country but also around the world who think very similar to me. Not only do we collaborate about similar things but they also have different ideas that can help me. As a learner you do not want to have someone that thinks just like you all the time. Artifacts that impacted me the most (Multimedia Tools in Education)

Video book trailer: using animoto  I have used videos in the past but never videos I created myself. This was the first video I ever created from start to beginning. I did not know how much work goes into making and editing a video. I faced many challenges through this not knowing how to edit or getting my creative juices flowing. The hardest part was finding inspiration to come up with something creative. I would not call myself a Steven Spielberg and my video will show that but I can appreciate what filmmakers go through. It takes effort to come up with an idea and then use it in a creative and entertaining way.  I learned to appreciate artistry and creativity in a video. I will be assigning videos to my students and I will definitely appreciate the effort they put into those a bit more. In the future I will be creating videos for my students and hopefully getting in touch with my creative side more. I have also become more comfortable in front of the camera. I got extremely...
