I feel I came pretty far since last week. I started to play Nirvanas- come as you are, and I feel I have accomplished the goal I set for myself this week. I can play it fairly smooth and with little or no mistakes. I found many bumps along the way which had to do with time. We were out of town this weekend couldn't fit the guitar in the van. I got back right on it on Monday when I got back from vacation. I played it until my fingers got tired which is not that long since I'm not use to playing for that long anyway.
I feel I have not reached my end goal just yet. I would like to continue to learn and play more songs. My goal is now to maybe take lessons from an instructor to really learn how to play the guitar better. The free videos on youtube are great but are no substitute for a real instructor.
This is awesome! It seems like you made great progress, and the song sounds great! And that's so cool you plan on continuing towards your goal and are going to take lessons! It sounds like you are truly learning a new life long skill!

ReplyDeleteI totally get it. Sometimes videos are great, yet having an instructor to catch your mistakes and showcase your learning will definitely help us improve even more effectively. Hope you get a chance to work with an instructor and keep growing your passion for guitar playing.
